It’s almost the end of April. In Germany we have a saying “April doesn’t know what it wants” because the weather changes from moment to moment! This sentiment has been reflected in our weather in Colorado. From snow storms to high 60s we’ve had it all! What is it like in your part of the world?
Today looks like it is deciding now to turn into a warm and sunny day. It feels like spring! I love watching sprays of color and green pop up along the landscape. I like to focus this time on rejuvenation. What needs spring cleaning? How will I plan out my garden?
As April comes to a close and we kiss Earth Day goodbye, it’s important for us to continue to show up for Mother Nature each and every day. What will you be doing this year to help the environment? Will you give up straws? Will you plant a tree? Will you start to carry a reusable water bottle to help reduce the use of plastic water bottles?
I carry a reusable water bottle with me wherever I go. I have it in my crocheted carrier that I made with a ½ Sacred Cubit Plain Jane Light-Life Ring that I crocheted into the bottom. This helps the environment, but also helps me as I’m constantly drinking potentized water which is said to have numerous benefits for my health. I’d like to give one to one of you as a gift! Please share your environmentally friendly tips on our Facebook page. At the end of the month we will be selecting a lucky winner who gets this gift, hand-crocheted by yours truly!
Let’s never forget that it’s the small things that matter most. While the current state of our environment’s health can be very concerning, we can move into gratitude for our planet’s bountiful gifts. Take time to enjoy the sunny spring days and get out into nature! Also, please try to start incorporating small, useful environmentally friendly actions into your daily life.
Please take a moment to share one environmentally friendly tip you plan on incorporating into your life this year. Perhaps take a moment to listen and reflect upon someone else’s suggestion. Together we are a force to be reckoned with and I can’t wait to see all the beautiful and impactful changes you plan on taking to help our earth heal and prosper.
