Cherishing the Moment

Those of you who receive our newsletter (sign-up here) know that I’ve set my intention this month towards cherishing those we love the most – whether that’s mom for Mother’s Day, your recent grad for graduation or perhaps even taking a moment to cherish yourself. This sentiment also gave rise to another thought: What if we take time to cherish the moment?

Have you thought of getting together with a group of people who own Light-Life Tools and work on/with each other? If you have Harmonizers you can put your intentions in there. I think it’s a very powerful and healing activity to gather together and set an intention. What would your collective celebrate? Harmony? Peace? Love? Acceptance? I think this is a wonderful example of truly cherishing the moment and those you love by gathering together for a common goal. I was listening to Archangel Haniel this Saturday and she said (like others before), that when three of us get together and set our intentions towards a goal we can achieve anything. Wouldn’t it be better to focus on what we want instead of being upset about all the things we see in the world and don’t like?

Another way to be present and “live in the now” is to practice meditation. I heard a spiritual advisor joke recently that if meditation came in a pill form everyone would be taking it! I think in this age of technology, it’s so hard for us to unwind from our phones or laptops and take time to do absolutely nothing. Meditation is needed more than ever in our lives to help us balance and return to center. What does your practice look like? Even two minutes a day is said to have tremendous health benefits. I like to take time each morning to write my intentions for the day down, sip a cup of hot water and do my meditation and prayers. I have a box as headboard which is hiding my 3 ½ Sacred and Lost Cubit heavy rings. Sitting in my bed I’m in a light tunnel created by the rings. This energy seems to add an even deeper relaxation to my meditation.

Cherishing the moment and being present may not be easy at first. It takes, like everything else, practice and support. Even when I’m traveling I have found a way to follow my routine. I have some guided meditations on my cell phone and I listen to them when I’m on a plane. I also have my prayers on my cell phone and my mantras, so when I’m traveling I am can continue my practice. I would love to know what you’re doing to stay on track and what helps you with your meditations? Please share them below or on our Facebook page. I know I’d be grateful for the tips, but more importantly we need to share our best practices with one another.

Lastly, cherishing the moment doesn’t need to be planned. All of us at one point have experienced those deep belly laughs with friends that have us doubled over with amusement. Have you ever noticed that in those moments all your worries and cares seem to slip away? While cherishing the moment is a nice sentiment, I suggest that you cherish what brings you the most joy. When was the last time you chatted with your best friend on the phone? Done a simple, silly activity like mini-golf that brought you back to joyful childhood moments?

Meditation can assist us in letting go and joy seems to bring us back to the flow of the positive energy of our universe in nanoseconds. I encourage all of you to put down your phones for a few hours and find joy in the simple things. Just being out in nature brings me a lot of joy. It brings my soul so much peace and serenity. Let’s take time this month to cherish all that we hold dear together. Gratitude is such a powerful tool and for everything we cherish that energy seems to grow and expand.

Ask Katharina – May 2018

Dear Katharina,

As Mother’s Day is rapidly approaching I feeling slightly depressed. My mother passed away when I was very young and although I know this is a day of celebration, I can’t help but feel a bit down. Do you have any advice on how to move through this grief and to have a different attitude towards this day?

Thank you,

Jeff C., Fort Lauderdale, FL

Dear Jeff,

Thank you for sharing your story as I know you are not alone. Death is a part of the process and unfortunately in western culture we treat it almost as if it were taboo. I truly do understand your struggle as my mother passed away when I was very young also. I think the holidays can sometimes be a harsh reminder of that loss. I always recommend the Silver Lotus Pendant, which I wear almost everyday together with my Tibetan Pendant or my Unity Personal Harmonizer. The Lotus Pendant is said to to return your DNA to its original blueprint offering peace, acceptance and balance. The Sacred Cubit Lotus Pendant has helped me and some of my friends move through grief and can assist anyone moving through a traumatic or grave experience. It’s such an incredible tool!

I would also like  encourage you to cherish the memory you have of your mother and celebrate Mother’s Day in memory of her. Who has acted like a mother figure to you in your life? What females do you respect and admire and see as mentors? What about Mother Earth? When was the last time you two connected? Perhaps a good day to take a nature hike or put your toes in the ocean. Reconnect with the ultimate mother and perhaps you won’t feel left out at all. Perhaps instead you’ll be filled with gratitude and wonder. I am sure all your mother wants for you to be happy and live your life to the fullest.

Blessings,

Katharina

Dear Katharina,

Lately I’ve been extremely grumpy and can’t seem to shake it! I don’t know if it’s the weather, certain relationships in my life or what?! I’m usually a really positive person and would love to know if there is a tool that can assist me with moving through this or gaining more insight into what’s going on.

Thank you,

Julie. G., Nederland, CO

Dear Julie,

First off, don’t be harsh on yourself. As you’re usually a positive person take it as an opportunity to feel compassion for all those grumpy people who seem to be in this space most of their lives.  I ask you to please give yourself the space you need to be human. Part of the human condition is just riding the waves of emotions and knowing that “this too shall pass”.

For the “all time grumpy ones” we’ve had great success stories from customers wearing our Pyramid Pendant. This tool seems to turn grumpy guys into compassionate souls once again.  In addition to the pendant I would suggest  taking an aura shower using 3 ½ Sacred Cubit Light-Life Ring. You will hold the ring over your head and slowly move it down your body to your feet. You can also ask a friend to do this for you.  If you want, you can continue the shower with then using a 3 ½ Lost Cubit Light-Life Ring, a 3 ½ Empowerment Cubit Light-Life Ring or trying these cubit sizes in a heavier metal. This almost acts like a clearing process, and may be helping you rid the body, mind and soul of any energies that are no longer serving you.

Once you’ve given your aura a shower, I would pick up any tool that resonates with you. The first item that comes to mind is the Lotus Pendant Sacred Cubit, 24K gold plated or the silver plated one. This can help you stay within your own energy no matter what’s going on around you. You can wear it under your shirt just remember, that this one takes on the energy of the wearer. Cleanse it when you take it off or before you put it on again by going up and down with your fingers and to the left and right, not in a circular movement.

Of course you can also try one of our Personal Harmonizers which have a spherical light field around them. The Lost Cubit Personal Harmonizers are said to uplift your mood. The combination of the Sacred and Lost Cubit which you find in our Unity Personal Harmonizers may be a good choice. Always trust your own inner guidance.

Please let me know what you’re choosing to work with and how it’s been helping you. It always means so much to me to receive your testimonials and understand how the tools are working in your life.

And remember – don’t judge yourself and be hard on yourself. That usually doesn’t create any positive change but instead leads to a bigger mess.

Wishing you all the best,

Katharina

Dear Katharina,

I absolutely love the tools, but as a Reiki master I often feel very isolated or alone at times. Are there ways I can connect with others in my field? I’m interested in building community.

Thank you,

Felicity G., Philadelpha PA

Dear Felicity,

There is a big difference between being alone and being lonely. I know as an energy worker that you truly understand how the two differ. Working on clients each day in a quiet space can often feel isolated if we aren’t giving ourselves the opportunity to connect. I find a lot of energy healers who are often so connected to other realms that they forget to come back down to earth every once in a while.

I highly suggest following us on Facebook and Instagram if you don’t already. I share tips about the tools and words of encouragement everyday. It’s remarkable to watch our community from around the world chime in and share their own tips and words of encouragement to each other. I hope you’ll join in the conversation.

Another way to stay connected is to attend conferences, workshops or events in your area that will allow you to take time away from your busy practice to connect with others and learn new techniques. I see you are in Pennsylvania and I hope you’ll make time to join me and Scott Anderson for our 2 day workshop in Horsham, PA on June 2nd and 3rd. I believe it’s only a 45 minute drive from your area.

You can also take a moment to see how the healing community is interacting on a global scale. I truly appreciate the Global Wellness Institute and I recommend signing up for their newsletters. I also was delighted to discover that the United Nations Educational,  Scientific, Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has dedicated May 16 as the International Day of Light which will be celebrated by 140 countries across the world! It’s a day where there is  global appreciation of the role that light and light-based technologies play in the lives of the citizens of the world in areas of science, technology, culture, education, and sustainable development. Please take time to visit their site to learn more!

In the meantime, please know you aren’t alone. We at Light-Life Technology are with you every step of the way and we appreciate all you do to help others and help the world at large through your efforts in health and wellness.

Much love,

Katharina

Environmental Harmony

It’s almost the end of April. In Germany we have a saying “April doesn’t know what it wants” because the weather changes from moment to moment! This sentiment has been reflected in our weather in Colorado. From snow storms to high 60s we’ve had it all! What is it like in your part of the world?

Today looks like it is deciding now to turn into a warm and sunny day. It feels like spring! I love watching sprays of color and green pop up along the landscape. I like to focus this time on rejuvenation. What needs spring cleaning? How will I plan out my garden?

As April comes to a close and we kiss Earth Day goodbye, it’s important for us to continue to show up for Mother Nature each and every day. What will you be doing this year to help the environment? Will you give up straws? Will you plant a tree? Will you start to carry a reusable water bottle to help reduce the use of plastic water bottles?

I carry a reusable water bottle with me wherever I go. I have it in my crocheted carrier that I made with a ½ Sacred Cubit Plain Jane Light-Life Ring that I crocheted into the bottom. This helps the environment, but also helps me as I’m constantly drinking potentized water which is said to have numerous benefits for my health. I’d like to give one to one of you as a gift! Please share your environmentally friendly tips on our Facebook page. At the end of the month we will be selecting a lucky winner who gets this gift, hand-crocheted by yours truly!

Let’s never forget that it’s the small things that matter most. While the current state of our environment’s health can be very concerning, we can move into gratitude for our planet’s bountiful gifts. Take time to enjoy the sunny spring days and get out into nature! Also, please try to start incorporating small, useful environmentally friendly actions into your daily life.

Please take a moment to share one environmentally friendly tip you plan on incorporating into your life this year. Perhaps take a moment to listen and reflect upon someone else’s suggestion. Together we are a force to be reckoned with and I can’t wait to see all the beautiful and impactful changes you plan on taking to help our earth heal and prosper.

Ask Katharina – April 2018

Dear Katharina,

My dog has been diagnosed with arthritis. I remember that you shared in the workshop that you treated your dog with the Light-Life Tools very successfully. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what tools you’ve used. Would you please let me know?

Thank you!

Blessings,

Christine V., NY

Dear Christine,

You have a great memory! I had a black lab named Bo, and he was diagnosed with arthritis in 2010. He was only six years old when diagnosed and the doctors wanted to perform surgery. However, after tons of deliberation I determined it wasn’t the right course of action for my furry baby. Right around this time we had come out with a new tool, the Re-Calibrator, which was reported to align our human energy field. I thought: tested by humans, it should work on my dog as well! I put the smallest Re-Calibrator on a 1 Sacred Cubit Light-Life Ring and placed it over my dog’s head. This seemed to provide him with comfort and he wore it as collar everyday until his final breath.

In addition to the new collar we created, I wanted to find additional holistic remedies for my pet. I learned that a cinnamon and honey mix is a great natural antidote for arthritis. Each day I put about a teaspoon of honey and about a ½ teaspoon of cinnamon in some yogurt which Bo gobbled up in no time. I also placed one of our 2 Lost Cubit Seed of Life units under his bed. A few years later I started bring Bo to a pet acupuncturist and that helped a lot as well.

As I’m not a medical professional I can’t guarantee any of these suggestions. However, I do believe they are worth trying if you are interested in finding a holistic action plan for your pet’s health. Arthritis is extremely painful for any animal and unfortunately surgery doesn’t come with any guarantees. I hope you’ll keep me posted on your pet.  Bo passed away at the ripe old age of 14 last year. I miss him very much and it feels good to share what worked for him,

Warm regards,

Katharina

Dear Katharina,

I have a fish tank that always seems to collect algae and glow bright green! I’ve tried everything! Do you have any Light-Life Tools that I might try to employ to get rid of the stuff?

Thank you,

Jason S. Boulder, CO

Dear Jason,

The thing that first comes to mind is Slim telling me of a friend who put Light-Life Rings in her swimming pool and took care of the algae. That would be the least expensive option to try. We also had great results on a much larger scale in the late nineties on the harmful Florida Red Tide. The algae was everywhere and was having a very harmful effect on the environment. You might want to try the same tactics and place an Environmental Harmonizer by your tank and activating your Harmonizer with our Environmental Clearing MP3. If possible, please send me before and after pictures. I’d love to see how this is working for you!

Blessings,

Katharina

Dear Katharina,

My cat’s labs came back pretty bleak and I’m concerned. The most alarming report was his urine pH levels. Most cats already have a high pH but my baby had lab results that were through the roof. I have him on a new low-carb diet and I’m trying to encourage him to drink more water. Do you have any other suggestions? I live in a high altitude so it’s already easy to become dehydrated. I want to ensure I’m giving my fur baby the best possible care.

Thank you,

Juliette C., Nederland, CO

Dear Juliette,

I’m so sorry to hear about your cat! From what I’ve gathered you aren’t alone. Cats are notorious for having issues with their urinary tracts and you can often find crystals in their bladder. I’m glad you are taking great strides towards a new healthy diet that I’m sure will help tremendously. Another suggestion: potentized water. You may want to purchase our Practitioner Set and offer your kitty potentized water in his water dish. I would start with only a little bit in the beginning to see what type of effect it has on his system. Potentized water is said  have wonderful effects on our health and I’m curious to see if it helps your cat as well. Of course, I’m not a medical professional or a vet, so this may be something you want to run by your pet’s primary care physician before making any changes. Please keep me posted on how your pet is doing! I would also put a Sacred Cubit Light-Life Ring around his water and food dish. Animals seem to really like the ‘ringed’ water.

Blessings,

Katharina

Fifteen Years of Excellence

I can’t believe it’s been fifteen years since I founded IX-EL, Inc., the manufacturing and retail company of the Light-Life Tools. While I take a moment to contemplate all we’ve accomplished in this time, it also is fun to take a moment of reflection about where we started. When I first met Slim he was making tools out of his one car garage and plating was done in the kitchen in a tiny home in Golden, Colorado. Slim’s goal was never worldwide domination or tons of money, he simply wanted to leave the planet a little bit better than he found it. I truly believe it was kismet that the two of us met. I felt I had met a man who was sitting on top of a goldmine of knowledge and knew I had to help him get his technology out into the world. I often joke that I fell in love with the tools before I fell in love with the man.

Slim may no longer be with us, but his legacy lives on. I’m so proud of the team I’ve built throughout the years, especially the artists in the shop. Our Director of Manufacturing has been with us for over 11 years and while only with Slim for a short period of time, she still feels his guidance and inspiration. She continues to make the products by hand with her devoted team, all to Slim’s exact specifications.

As we celebrate this huge milestone, I think it’s really important to celebrate you! Our community around the world is absolutely incredible and I feel truly blessed to receive your questions, comments and words of encouragement each and every day. While our customers come from all walks of life and every profession, many of you are healers. I’d like to take a moment to honor all that you do to provide health and happiness to your customers and how you use our tools to make those realities possible.

Many healers use our tools in their energy healing practices, such as massage or reiki, but did you know the tools can also be used to protect you and clear your space? I think the hardest thing an energy healer experiences is how to ground their energy after a long day. We all have our various practices that allow us to return back to center, but I wanted to share some useful applications of the tools that will help you balance much more quickly. Those will help you if you’re a healer or not.

First of all, I highly recommend to any energy healer to wear a Personal Harmonizer. They come in so many sizes and varieties and I encourage you to pick the one that feels right for you. Each Personal Harmonizer comes with a ½ Sacred Cubit Light-Life Ring that allows you to re-calibrate the device. During the day you can wear the ring on your arm, tuck it in the sleeve of your shirt or sweater or jacket to energize you or use it to energize your food and water. At night take the ring and your Harmonizer off and put it in the ring to recharge it. If you wish you can program your Harmonizer with a specific intention for the day. Your intention may be “please give me clarity and focus” or “please fill my heart up with so much love that I have plenty to give to others”. However you choose to program the device, I think this is a sound investment for anyone – especially those in the holistic healing arts. It may help you keep balanced and protect your energy. I especially love the Unity Harmonizer which seems to create a protective bubble around the wearer and bring anyone around it into harmony.

During your day or at the end of your sessions, you may want to try an aura shower. This is also recommended if you have been at the mall, at a conference or concert, any time you’re around of many people an aura shower after you return home is a good idea. This involves taking a 3 ½ Sacred or Lost Cubit Light-Life Ring and holding it above your head and slowly bringing it down to your feet. As you are already energy sensitive, you’ll feel places where the ring might feel “stuck” as you bring it down over your body. Let the ring hover there for a few moments longer or perhaps take more than one shower! You can also do this with a colleague if it feels right. You’ll often find us in the office doing this after an intense day of back-to-back phone calls or meetings. It allows you center and I love how it makes me feel much more relaxed.

There are so many tools available to support self-care and I hope you’ll start experimenting with them. As healers, you have such a generous spirit and you give so much of yourself during the day. Please remember to slow down and take some time to unwind and treat yourself with kindness. I recommend sleeping with a Seed of Life unit underneath your mattress or your bed. You can also sleep inside any of the Light-Life Rings to help you raise your vibration all night long!

Anyone can benefit from the suggestions I provided, you don’t need to be a healer to reap the rewards of the tools. I just think it’s important to recognize all the healers in the world who seem to put all of us stressed out folk back together again. I know how grateful I am when I leave a healing session. In my opinion, healers are angels on earth and we’re lucky to have them to help support us on our journey.

Slim invented the tools as he was looking for a way to help the environment and to find a non-invasive way for us to heal ourselves. It quickly became apparent that there was a profound effect the tools had on the all the people who came in contact with them. I know he would be proud of the work we are doing and I know he would be proud of all of you. Thank you to all of you for helping to support our mission: Harmonizing the World – One Community at a Time.

I hope you’ll take a moment to celebrate with us and use this opportunity to participate in our sale. To share the joy of our fifteen year anniversary we are offering 25% off everything on the website. The sale ends today at midnight! Please take the time to load up on everything on your wish list and I hope you’ll buy something special, just for you.

The Seed of Life

The Seed of Life is an important part of the sacred geometry historical record. If you go through the archives, you’ll be inundated with countless accounts of its origin, meaning and significance today. What interests me most, is to look at how our Seed of Life unit came about.

Many moons ago, our friend Tanah was visiting from Montana. She spent some time with Slim in the shop and played around with unsoldered Plain Jane rings. She put seven together and asked Slim if he could make this configuration for her mom who had severe digestive issues. Slim put a Lost Cubit Light-Life Ring around it to give it some structure. Voila – the Seed of Life Light-Life Tool was born without us knowing the breadth of its power.

This shape has been a highly regarded symbol in sacred geometry for centuries. The pattern incorporates the vesica pisces and its aesthetic has traveled through time. Some argue it’s the physical representation of the birth of reality. Pretty profound I’d say! It has been called the visual representation of the start of our universe, or as many say in yoga “Om”. I think it’s also poignant to note that the symbol is attributed to Egyptian wisdom and the Sacred Cubit length we employ in our tools is derived from the Great Pyramid of Giza.

At first we donned the tool the ‘Flower of Life’ until we were educated by a sacred geometry expert that gave us the correct name: ‘Seed of Life’. As space in the shop was limited at the time, we did not go into production with this particular configuration – only one was made for our friend. In 2005, Tanah visited again and shared her experiences with the Light-Life Tools at the workshop. Tanah owns a 3,500 acre ranch where she is raising buffalo and provided us with countless tales of the animals interactions with the tools, especially how she attributes the Seed of Life to saving her dog’s life. In addition to rescuing her beloved pet, ‘The Star,’ (affectionately named by her mom), seemed to have significant impact on people on the ranch – body, mind and soul.

Tanah’s tales inspired us to put the tool into production so we could help more people. It quickly became a favorite for many healers, including myself. When I have issues like my lower back hurting or digestive issues, this tool is always close by. I also love the smaller version, which was named the Lotus Pendant as it reminded me of a Lotus Flower.

I appreciate all the writings and research Slim did about his work. His writings on the Seed of Life I found especially powerful. I’m enclosing them here just as they were written by him so many years ago.

It uplifts the consciousness into higher mind states where all is released and forgiven, knowing that with this clarity you can see the good in all your life. This is very good for individuals who get caught up in mental anguish and do not remember the source of love they were created in.

Hold the Seed of Life with your arms around it at the level of the heart, and connect with it. It is essential that it be at the level of the heart. The Seed of Life is used for healing by raising the vibration on a cellular level. When the vibration is higher, there is less discomfort.

The Seed of Life can help humanity to know their own personal truth. Each of us faces struggles that do not allow us to clearly hear our truths due to negative judgments and the learned behavior of holding oneself down. As an individual encounters the energy from this configuration, there is a gentle inward reminder that humanity is not created falsely. The energy seems to flow out of the ring, expanding to approximately three times the size. The closer the body is to the tool, the stronger the energy.

Have you had a chance to experience the power of this tool firsthand? If so, please share your comments below or on our Facebook page. It’s so important that we share these findings so we can continue to feel better and grow. Let’s expand the awareness of the tools around the globe by Harmonizing the World – One Community At a Time.

Harmonizing Your Health and Wellness

As this month comes to an end I’d like to revisit my intention. In the month of January I asked all of us to set our intention towards goal setting, and to each take a quiet moment of self-reflection. What makes you happy? What do you want to accomplish this year? This sentiment is a nice fit with February as we celebrate Valentine’s day and all that has to do with love. Self-love doesn’t get enough attention, in my opinion. How can you have love to spread to others if you haven’t started with yourself first?

On that note, I’d like to talk a little bit about self care. What do your morning practices look like? Do you have any? I love to take quiet time for myself each morning, say my prayers, set intentions for the day and offer gratitude. My evenings include lighting candles for dinner and sometimes I use essential oils to set the ambiance. I absolutely love essential oils and the natural and healing effect they have on the psyche.

I was chatting with my team the other day and the topic of essential oils came up. I sometimes put a few drops of essential oil on a cotton swab and place it inside my Agricultural Harmonizer.  I find a cotton swab is best as I don’t want to inadvertently harm the plating with the oil. The Harmonizer is an intention based tool and is said to clear the air and spread the information of the essential oils, as well as our intentions we have programmed into them. I like to think of it as a natural diffuser that adds life force energy instead of watery mist to the oils’ holistic objective.

I highly recommend using only high quality essential oils. It’s so worth the money and quality oils can even be used for cooking. When I lived in Germany, my preferred one was from Primavera. Here in the states there are excellent oil suppliers to find as well. I’m constantly changing what oils I use based upon my desired outcome. I use a few drops of dill when I cook fish, or a few drops of basil in winter in my salad.

Red mandarin oil dates back thousands of years where it was first discovered in China. It’s said to relieve anxiety and I find it to be a perfect antidote to the winter blues. Rose Geranium is also a wonderful mood elixir if you like the smell. For me it is the ultimate in self-care. Did you know that there are over 700  species of this flower on the planet, but only 10 varieties that are able to produce this intoxicating scent? Rose Geranium is used for vitality, healthy skin and is helpful in combating stress. Patchouli oil is a bit polarizing as I find people either love it or hate it! If you appreciate the odor you’re in luck as patchouli is helpful for those battling depression. It’s also rumored to be an aphrodisiac!

Essential oils can affect our mood, but they also are helpful for our environment. Did you know that lemongrass oil can clear the air? Back in my life in Germany, I had an advent wreath (which we use as decoration before Christmas) with four candles burning on my dining room table. I made the mistake to going back to my office, just to finish a “few” things on my computer and about an hour later smoke and the smell of burning pine twigs was coming out of my kitchen. The candles burned down and lit the wreath on fire and started on my wooden dining table. After extinguishing the flames I used a high quality lemongrass spray from Primavera and sprayed my kitchen, my hallway and the rest of my apartement. It was amazing how quickly it took care of the smell. I also used it on the walls of the cellar of this rental building as it always had a bad moldy smell when I opened the door. It’s the perfect oil if you are in search of a natural air freshener rather than using chemical solutions.

In addition to this natural wonder, Eucalyptus has also been shown to kill bacteria in lab studies. It’s a perfect natural solution to employ when cleaning your home. I like to use it in my Harmonizer when I feel a cold coming on. I love the perfume and I find it clears out my nose. If you don’t appreciate the smell of eucalyptus you can always try tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is especially helpful with any inflammation.

While on the subject of cleaning I can’t forget to mention the formidable sandalwood oil! Sandalwood is often found in aftershave lotions for its anti-inflammatory properties, but what I enjoy is the cleansing effect it has on the mind. A little goes a long way! One or two drops on a cotton swab put in my Harmonizer and I immediately can feel the clear of any mental fog. Sandalwood helps me focus. When you are in the process of re-organizing or de-cluttering your space, cypress is the perfect oil choice. It’s said to provide renewed vitality, energy and enthusiasm for the task at hand. Sandalwood and cypress are great scents for the office.

Finally, no blog entry on essential oils would be complete without mentioning beloved lavender oil. This soothing scent is said to calm the nerves and induce sleep. I love using this at nighttime or for meditation.

Ultimately the choices are endless! What is your favorite essential oil? Have you tried it out in your Harmonizer? I hope you do and report back to us how it’s working for you. Also, place your essential oils in a LIght-Life Ring, especially the citrus ones as they usually don’t last that long. It may extend their life span and will definitely bring more light and life to all of your oils. Let me hear what you’re doing. Enjoy your own special way to practice self-care!

2018: A Master Year

You might not know it, but I really like to play with numbers. I constantly amaze my team with my ability to memorize birthdates, credit card numbers, phone numbers, calculate complex equations in my head and show correlations between numbers and intention. We all have our natural talents and while my Marketing Director is gifted for words, numbers come to me easily. I especially love the study of numerology, a term coined in 1907 that describes the study of numbers and their divine implications.

You may already be familiar with some of the principles of the practice and not even know it. Do you get excited when you see 11:11 multiple times in a row? Does it frighten you when 666 shows up in a spreadsheet? Have you ever added up your birthday to figure out your birth number? It seems that numerology acceptance grows within the popular consciousness as I’ll often see it in magazines, right next to horoscopes.

The reason I bring light to this fascinating discipline is because 2018 has serious significance. The numbers add up to 11 (2+0+1+8), which is an indication of a master year. A master number is when you see a repetition of a number such as 11, 22, 33, etc. The numbers rotate in a circle, each year adding up to the numbers 1-9. This number (2+0+1+8 = 11 = 1+1 = 2) 2 is nothing out of the ordinary, but the way it came about with the 1+1 is something we don’t see often.

The number one, carries a masculine energy and is associated with self, creativity, initiation, independence, innovation and self-confidence. This masculine energy when doubled and added together, brings about two – which is inherently feminine. The number 2 brings about others, partnership, group dynamics and being supportive. It’s essentially a yin/yang relationship played out in a numerical format. What does this mean for you?

Master years bring with them an intensity that is undeniable. The master numbers are supposed to bring us closer to a divine purpose and move us there much more rapidly. You may start to notice that blocks that once existed in your path have been cleared. However, much like the yin/yang you may also feel those opposing forces at work. It carries a very high vibration. This combination seems to bring light to the dark shadows, much like stirring up the dirt from the bottom of a still pond. What was once hidden now appears before us, and it’s our decision to take in the information and what we choose to do with it. It’s as though the universe is collectively asking us all to step it up. Understand that ‘master’ means ‘teacher’. The time is now and the tools you’ve collected, the education you’ve acquired, will all be put to the test this year.

2018 is going to be a universal year of passion and illumination. It’s going to be a struggle between your head and your heart until you learn how to strike a balance between the two. This year is symbolic of divine intervention for the greater good. Your higher self is asking you to vibrate at a higher frequency. It’s a connection between the physical and spiritual world making a direct connection between your desires and manifestation. This is the year you can watch your dreams come to life if you’ve done the work.

I’m so excited to see what 2018 has in store for me, for you and for us all. Do you feel the collective shift? It’s so powerful! Please let me know how this higher vibration is showing up in your life and let me know what goals you have set for yourself for this master year. I can’t wait to see all of our hard work come to fruition! Even if you don’t believe in numerology, there is no denying the power of numbers. All of the Light-Life Tools are based upon the principles of Sacred Geometry. If you’ve experienced the healing energy of the tools you’ll understand firsthand the mystical, magical power of numbers. Here’s to a wonderful year!

Ask Katharina – January 2018

Dear Katharina,

I’m trying to decide between a silver or gold plated Harmonizer. According to your website and staff, silver has a more feminine energy while gold is more masculine. I immediately think male or female, but I have a strong suspicion that there is more to it than meets the eye. Could you explain the difference in more detail?

Thank you,

Randall W. Seattle, WA

Dear Randall,

Your question is not uncommon! And yes, you are correct in your assumption that there is a bit more to it. I’ll do my best to explain.

Silver has long been associated with the Greek Goddess Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and the moon. In astrology, the moon is associated with your emotions, your moods and your internal realm. It’s where creativity and chaos reigns. As science demonstrates, the moon is closely tied to the ocean tides. Water is where emotions flow throughout the psyche like gentle waves. Hence, we often recommend a silver plated Harmonizer to those concerned with the harmful effects of EMFs (Electromagnetic Fields). Silver may essentially protect your emotional balance and your brain waves. As we often are using electronic devices in association with our mental capacity (I’m currently typing this on my laptop), I’ll often place a Silver Sacred Cubit Environmental Harmonizer nearby.

Gold is associated with the sun and carries a masculine energy. It’s positive and direct. In astrology the sun is associated with the outward expression of the ego. For example, when someone asks “What is your sign?” You are providing them with your Sun Sign or where the sun was positioned on the day you were born. While silver is internal and introspective, gold is external and full of action. I love our gold plated items in the sacred cubit. The Sacred Cubit Light-Life Rings deal with the physical world and gold is the metal of action. The Sacred Cubit Light-Life Acu-Vac Coil, gold plated, is what I immediately reach for when experiencing any type of physical discomfort such as a headache. However, some customers enjoy our silver products much more as they seem to move the energy a bit more smoothly and not as rapidly. It’s always a personal preference.

As a rule of thumb we found that silver works best for the unseen, i.e. emotions, mental issues, electromagnetic fields, radiation while the 24K gold plated ones seem to work best for all you can see, i.e. air pollution reduction, plant growth, etc..

Hopefully I was able to provide you with some clarity on the question. Before I go, I’ll leave you with a video one of my team members recently shared. I found it delightfully fun and very informative.

Warm regards,

Katharina

Dear Katharina,

I do not believe in New Year’s resolutions, but I would like to start manifesting my goals this year. Rumor has it that you have a tool that helps manifest desires. Is this true? How does it work?

Sincerely,

Stacy K., Omaha, NB

Dear Stacy,

Unfortunately, I can never make any guarantees about the tools. As they are energy devices their frequency is always interacting with your own, hence the reason everyone has slightly different results with the Light-LifeTool they employ. However, I’ve gotten many fabulous testimonials about our Heavy Lost Cubit Light-Life Ring. Some like to speak their prayers through the ring in the morning. Some voice their greatest yearnings through the ring. While you are free to voice your goals internally, it’s much more powerful to say them outloud due to the higher vibrational energy of sound. Give it a try! I would love to hear back from you and see if you found this tool to help you manifest your heart’s greatest desires. In addition to that I highly recommend you write your goals down. I’ve just learned that there is a over 40% higher chance of achieving your goals when they have been written down.

Blessings,

Katharina

Dear Katharina,

I’m feeling very overwhelmed lately! It seems as though I overloaded myself with goals and work in early 2018. I feel pulled in too many directions and find myself not getting much done. Perhaps I was too ambitious with my goals! Do you have any suggestions on a tool that might help? I don’t want to burn out. I know I need to take a much more balanced approach to my work life, but at the same time I want to find a way to focus and produce great work.

Thanks for your help,

Bianca F., New York, NY

Dear Bianca,

My first suggestion is to take a moment to stop whatever you are doing and make time for a five minute meditation. It might seem counterintuitive as you have so much to get done, but first you need to free up your mind from the clutter and the fears that are blocking your process. I often like to sit inside a 3 ½ Lost Cubit Light-Life Ring when I meditate for deeper relaxation.

Additionally, it sounds like you are dealing with work stress, but also the chaos and onslaught of information in New York City. With your senses taking in so much information each day, it’s essential for you to rebalance before you sit down to tackle your ‘to-do’ list. You can take a one Cubit Lost Ring and put it around your neck. One of my part time employees used that when she had too many projects to juggle. She was training to become a nurse and also help with our marketing.

You can also use the same 3 ½ Lost Cubit Light-Life Ring and give yourself an aura shower when you arrive at the office or during breaks. You can always sneak into a conference room or empty office to perform the exercise if you don’t wish to get odd stares from colleagues. Or perhaps they’ll be so intrigued they’ll want to try it as well! To perform an aura shower take the ring in both hands and slowly move it from above your head down to your feet. It seems to wash away any of the unwanted energy you’ve collected on your journey or throughout your day.

When sitting down to get work done on your computer, I highly recommend putting a ½ Sacred Cubit Light-Life Ring, gold plated, 3 beads, on your left arm, much like a bracelet or arm cuff. It seems to energize your blood and may stop it from agglutinating, which apparently can happen when we spend too much time on the computer. You can take it off when you get a glass of water and let the water sit in there for 15 minutes. The ring charges it and it will be even more beneficial for your health. Then put your back on your left wrist.

Apart from that, prioritize your projects and focus only on the three most important projects each day. 🙂 Also, if you’re familiar with Bach flower remedies, (you can find them in a good health food store or online), Elm is the perfect one for overwhelm and helps me every time I’m overwhelmed and remember to take it. It’s magical.

I hope you find these simple suggestions useful and you are able to return to your work with renewed enthusiasm. Please let me know how the tools are working for you!

Warmly,

Katharina

Ask Katharina – December 2017

Dear Katharina,

I absolutely love the holidays! However it definitely can be a bit stressful when all of my family gathers together. My uncle John is especially grumpy and loudly proclaims how he thinks that Christmas is a waste of time. It really can spoil the mood and I don’t like that negativity around the children. Is there a tool I could purchase for myself or for him as a gift that might get him in the spirit?

Thank you,

Natasha L., AL

Dear Natasha,

I totally understand your dilemma! The holidays are often filled with unattainable expectations. We are influenced externally by media, by friends and other outside influences about what our Christmas “should” look like. I first encourage you to let go of the “shoulds”. Try meditating on accepting each and every one of your family members just the way they are! Even your grumpy uncle. He teaches you about love and compassion. Think about it, it’s easier to be nice to nice people. He’s forcing you to deepen that commitment to kindness. You may also want to purchase a Pyramid Pendant for him. This tool has been reported to increase happiness for those who were previously in a dour mood. Actually, one of our customers bought several for grumpy and bitter individuals and saw them transform before his eyes into decent human beings. Try it out and please let me know how it works for you. Wishing you and your family a really lovely and imperfectly perfect holiday.

Warm regards,

Katharina

Dear Katharina,

I only buy organic food as I want to offer myself and my family the healthiest options available. I go a bit nuts during the holidays and unfortunately organic food, especially fruits and vegetables, doesn’t keep as long. Is there a tool I could use to help my foods stay fresh?

Thank you,

Melinda B. LA

Dear Melinda,

I too only buy organic, local and sustainable foods. I truly believe the saying “you are what you eat” and I applaud your efforts on keeping it organic and healthy this holiday season. The tools are absolutely amazing when it comes to keep food fresh and energized! You can place any of our Sacred Cubit Light-Life Rings around your food to delay the ripening or decay. Try an experiment and put a piece of fruit in a ring and outside of one for a week. Seeing is believing! You can put the rings around your fruit bowl, around items in the refrigerator (my marketing director often puts hers around the milk) and you can even place a 3 ½ Sacred Cubit Light-Life Ring around or on top of your refrigerator to keep items lasting longer and tasting wonderful. I also suggest putting a 1 Sacred Light-Life Ring around all of your stove burners to make your cooking experience energetically charged. That’s what I do. In addition to that I have large 3 ½ Sacred Cubit Rings in the trunk of my car and put all my groceries in there so they get charged already on the way home. I hope these suggestions are useful! Wishing you a wonderful and flavorful holiday meal.

Warm regards,

Katharina

Dear Katharina,

I work in the retail industry and this is our busiest time of year. Although most people seem to be getting into the spirit of things I find I’m always extremely stressed during the holidays. Embarrassingly enough, I suffer from cold sores and they seem to pop up when I’m full of anxiety. The holiday rush is incredibly intense and I would like to greet customers with confidence. Is there a tool that can help with this problem?

Thank you,

Paul D., MO

Dear Paul,

There is no need to be embarrassed! Cold sores are extremely common, however it seems to be something that we don’t like to discuss very often. I had a customer report to me recently that she used an Acu-Vac Coil on her mouth when she felt one coming on. Remarkably the cold sore never came to fruition! I suggest that you try it yourself and see if it works for you! I’m also sending tons of calming, healing energy your way. Don’t let the busyness of the holidays get the best of you! Don’t forget to take some time for yourself, even if that’s five minutes here and there to relax and recenter.

Happy Holidays!

-Katharina
